GouTA Privacy Policy

Data processed

To provide sign-in, synchronization, and learning features, GouTA processes account and sign-in provider identifiers, email addresses, device synchronization identifiers, learning and review records, towers, discoveries, membership status, and necessary purchase receipts. If you provide an avatar, feedback, or practice text, we also process the content needed for that feature.

Guest records remain on the current device. Signed-in account records synchronize with GouTA servers over encrypted connections. The public release and internal testing environments use separate servers and storage; internal test accounts, progress, and orders are not imported.

Purposes and service providers

Data is used to provide features, restore records, verify membership, handle feedback, and maintain security. Personal data is not sold.

Google Cloud hosts the cloud services. Google sign-in and Google Play payments are processed by the respective Google services. When you use AI explanations, rewriting, or expression feedback, your submitted content and necessary learning context are sent to Alibaba Cloud model services for processing. GouTA does not collect payment card or bank details.

Processing may take place in Japan, Singapore, and other locations where providers operate infrastructure. Providers' processing is also subject to their service terms and privacy policies. These providers process data as needed to provide their respective services.

Permissions and logs

Necessary system permissions are requested when you use the corresponding feature. Voice input is processed by the device's speech recognition service. For avatars or images, the app uses only content you select. It does not require contacts or precise location access.

Servers retain operational and security logs necessary to provide the service, diagnose errors, and protect accounts. Advertising tracking is not enabled in the production version.

Retention and deletion

Request deletion in the app, through the public account deletion page, or by email. An accepted request has a 7-day cooling-off period; successfully signing in again during that period cancels it. Afterward, the deletion process removes the account and associated cloud records from active services.

Signing out does not automatically erase local records; you can clear them yourself. Necessary security backups rotate according to their retention schedules. Records required by law, settlement, or fraud prevention are retained only as necessary in scope and duration and are no longer used to provide everyday services to the deleted account.

Deleting a GouTA account does not cancel recurring Google Play payments. Manage subscriptions separately in Google Play.
