Services

GouTA provides English vocabulary learning, review, dictionary lookup, expression practice, and learning records. Learning and review can contribute to your tower, discoveries, and other available in-app features. Available features and paid benefits are described in the app before purchase.

GouTA is a learning tool. Learning records, placement results, and Amber status are not academic qualifications, exam results, or externally certified language levels. AI-generated content may contain errors; you can report them through feedback.

Accounts and records

Guest records are stored on the current device. Signing in enables cloud synchronization and restoration. Sign-in methods are credentials for accessing an account, not separate learning profiles. Records belonging to an existing account and another identity are not automatically merged.

Protect your credentials. Do not impersonate others, falsify purchase receipts, or alter data to obtain benefits. If you are below the age required in your location to consent or purchase independently, a guardian must make the necessary decisions.

Membership and payment

Fig is free. The membership page describes the new-word allowances, practice limits, and additional benefits of Olive and Cypress. Check the tier, duration, price, and renewal type before purchasing.

Membership purchases in the Google Play version are processed by Google Play. Standard one-month, six-month, and annual plans are prepaid and do not renew automatically. Recurring monthly plans renew at the interval disclosed by the store until canceled.

Use Manage subscription in the app to open Google Play subscription management. Uninstalling GouTA or deleting your GouTA account does not cancel a recurring Google Play subscription.

Prepaid upgrades follow Google Play rules: you pay the full price of the new plan, and the remaining value of the old plan is converted into service time. Google Play checkout and valid receipts determine the final charge and expiry date. GouTA does not grant the same credit twice.

A Google Play purchase cannot be redeemed across multiple GouTA accounts. To restore a purchase, use the original Google account and sign in to the corresponding GouTA account.

Expiry and retained benefits

Completed learning and review records, your tower, permanent assets, and earned Amber status are not taken away when your membership tier changes.

Six-month and annual plans include a free 10-day renewal consideration period after expiry under the membership rules. This period incurs no additional charge. Renewal prices and applicable discounts must be clearly shown before a new payment; entering this free period does not trigger a charge.

Launch Cypress completion guarantee

Users who purchase Cypress after the official launch and on or before December 31, 2026 qualify for the launch completion guarantee. Dates are calculated in Japan Standard Time (UTC+9).

Users who reach the defined endpoint, receive Amber, and meet the guarantee conditions can receive a refund of the net amount actually paid for the Cypress subscription period current at completion. Earlier completed periods are excluded, as are amounts already refunded, charged back, or not yet settled. For six-month and annual plans completed within the agreed free 10-day consideration period, the immediately preceding period applies.

Launch eligibility is retained under the agreed continuity rules. If renewal is not completed within 10 days after expiry, that continuity ends. Refunds require verification of the store order and Amber issuance record and are handled through the contact email. This guarantee does not exclude other refund rights under applicable law or Google Play policies.

Privacy and account deletion

The GouTA Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed. You can request account deletion in the app or contact the developer through the public account deletion page.

Account deletion has a 7-day cooling-off period. Signing in again during that period cancels the request. Afterward, the deletion process removes the account and associated cloud records. Signing out is not account deletion; local copies remain yours to manage. Cancel any recurring monthly subscription separately in Google Play.

Changes and contact

Changes to the service or these terms will be communicated in the app or on public pages. Changes affecting charges or important benefits will be clearly communicated before implementation and will not retroactively reduce permanent benefits already earned.

These terms do not exclude or limit consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
